Remember! The theology of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is, for the most part, rather fluid. Mormons believe in continuing revelation and do not have a systematic theology, as many other sects do. This means that doctrines, teachings, and understandings can change over time and that there are many issues on which there is no firm doctrine. In those areas, members and leaders often teach their own understandings. Thus, you may end up with different teachings on the same matter, both of which may be consistent with revealed truth and light.
